Safety and Efficacy of Transarterial Embolization Therapy in Patients with Uncontrolled Epistaxis: A Single-Center Retrospective Observational Study

Aim: 
 This study aimed to present technical details and outcomes of endovascular treatment patients who underwent embolization due resistant recurrent epistaxis in our center.
 Methods: In this study, between January 2014 2020, the interventional radiology unit at hospital were evaluated retrospectively.
 Results:
 4 (25%) female 12 (75%) male included 16 patients. The mean age was 56.6 ± 17.8 years. etiologies as follows; had nasal angiofibroma, 1 (6.2%) patient larynx carcinoma, nasopharynx aneurysm rupture, anticoagulant use, 8 (50%) idiopathic epistaxis. total, performed all 18 procedures performed. embolization, 100% success achieved during procedure, no complications developed follow-up. However, 2 (12.5%) procedures, therapy for second time after embolization.
 Conclusions: resistance cases, is an alternative surgical methods, a method with low risk high rate.
